I changed my Gmail address and can't sign in to Nex Playground

If you signed up for Nex Playground using Google Sign-In with a Gmail address, and then later changed that Gmail address through your Google account settings, you may run into trouble signing back in to Nex Playground. This article goes over what to do.


Why this happens

When you change your Gmail address through Google, your Google account itself stays the same, but only the email tied to it updates. Nex Playground stores your email separately when you first sign up, so after a Gmail change, the email Google sends us no longer matches the email we have on file for your account. As a result, sign-in fails even though your Google account otherwise works normally.


Workaround in the meantime

A permanent fix is planned for a future update. In the meantime, the next step depends on whether you have an active Play Pass.

If you do not have a Play Pass

You can simply create a new Nex Playground account using a different email address.

If you do have a Play Pass

Please reach out to us, and provide both the old and new email. We will apply a fix from our end.
