The Nex Playground remote takes 2 AAA batteries (included with the purchase).
If the LED indicator does not light up when pressing buttons, please confirm that both batteries are placed positive side downwards, or try a new set of batteries.
If the issue persists with fresh batteries, please try our Troubleshooting Tool to troubleshoot and if necessary initiate a warranty claim.
