Try these troubleshooting steps if your remote is not working:
Verify if the remote is charged
Try to pair the remote with Playground
Make sure the remote is within 1 ft of Playground and press down the "Back" and "Home" buttons on your remote together for 5 seconds.
Your remote will enter active pairing mode and the LED indicator should start blinking rapidly.
If successful, the LED will stay on and you should be able to control Playground.
If the remote is paired but you cannot control Playground
If the LED indicator turns on after pairing, this means the remote is paired. However, if you still cannot control Playground with the remote:
Turn off any nearby Playground devices.
Reboot Playground by unplugging the USB-C power cable for 10 seconds.
Try to pair the remote again.
If you are at the “Let’s get started” screen, press “Select” a few times and wait for a couple of seconds to navigate past this screen.
Remote LED is off at the end of pairing
If the LED indicator is not on, this means pairing is unsuccessful. In this case:
Make sure Playground is turned on and there is output on the TV.
Make sure that the remote and the cube are within 1ft distance.
Retry to pair the remote.
If this is unsuccessful, restart Playground by unplugging and plugging the USB-C power cable.
Retry to pair the remote again.
If nothing helps...
You may be able to use your TV remote to navigate Playground. Check out How can I use my TV remote to control Playground? to learn more.
